School Meals

As of September 2014, all pupils in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 will be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM).

At Whitelands Park we promote healthy eating.  All of our food is cooked on the premises by our caterers, Chartwells and menus are available termly.  Please see below the current term’s menu.

School dinners cost £2.20 per day

**Due to a number of severe allergy cases, Whitelands Park is a “nut-free” school**

Eligible for Free School Meals?

If your child is not in KS1 (Foundation, Year 1 or Year 2) but you are in receipt of income support or the income based job seekers allowance, your child is entitled to receive a free school meal.  To apply, please contact West Berkshire Council on (01635) 42400 who will take you through the process or alternatively, apply online at www.westberks.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals.

Please register as the school receives additional resources based on the number of children eligible for free meals.

Note: You may also be entitled to pay reduced contributions for extracurricular activities such as school trips if you have registered.

Packed Lunch

We have a “healthy school” policy and as such, we please ask that packed lunches reflect this policy. Therefore, please do not include fizzy or soft sugary drinks (water or pure juices preferred) or sweets/chocolate based snacks in your child's lunch box. Also, please do not include any variance of nuts (incl. Peanut Butter) as some school children have severe nut allergies.
