Learning From Home

As your child progresses through the school, homework will increase and most children will be expected to be given reading, phonics/spelling and maths homework on a weekly basis.  This is handed out on Thursday’s, returned back to the class teacher the following Tuesday.

Some extended holiday projects will also be included.

Children will receive new personalised spelling lists every week on Friday. These spelling lists come from their spelling and phonics sessions in class. Spellodrome will allow children to practise their spellings using a variety of fun and interactive games. We will also be announcing the children who have scored the most points across the week in assembly.

So log in, get spelling, play games and have fun!

Practice your Maths at home and in school using Mathletics, a fun website with games and activities at different levels to challenge you. It also has a Maths dictionary and you can use the concept search to revise topics learnt in school. You can also compete against other pupils at Whitelands, the UK or even worldwide!

See if you can beat them and join the hall of fame!
