Miss R Conlen
Mrs K Da'Mant & Mrs A Harle
Welcome back! We hope you have had a good summer and you are ready for a new and exciting year. There is lots to look forward to this term including our residential trip to Cornbury Park!
Our first topic is 'Poles Apart'. In this topic we will be learning about the life of Ernest Shackleton and his expedition to the North Pole, linking this to Science and Geography. In Science we will be learning about forces; looking at friction, gravity and drag. Within Geography we will be identifying areas of the world and understanding different time zones, allowing us to understand the enormity of Shackleton's expedition.

Birch class is very excited about improving our reading and comprehension through a new program in school. We are going to be reading lots of different types of books and answer questions about what they were about. We will be watching our progress over the coming terms to see ourselves getting better. We are very excited about all the new books we're going to read.
